ITLS R - International Trauma Life Support Refresher
Healthcare Provider Courses
- This course is for confident delegates with a valid ITLS Certificate that is about to expire and who need to update their ITLS provider status. We recommend that they’ve attended the ITLS course twice or more.
- Participants must have a current ITLS course manual (9th edition).
- Participants need to study the course manual and complete the pre-course assessment prior to attending the 1 -day classroom session.
Participants are required to complete a multiple-choice examination at the end of the course, achieving a minimum mark of 74%. Furthermore, they must pass a practical assessment.
1-day interactive contact session combining classroom learning and hands-on skills stations.
All participants who successfully complete the course will receive:
- An Advanced/Basic ITLS certificate
- Accredited by the HPCSA, each participant will receive 24 CPD and 1 ethics points.

Confirm space on a specific course date with PEC. We recommend allowing 1 to 2 months for preparation before the course.
